Hello, welcome, and thanks in advance for hiring me to make your portrait. Let me tell you about my process and pricing, and show you examples of my work.

Process

After you contact me via email or Instagram DM, you can tell me about your subject or subjects and what size portrait you’re looking for. You’ll provide me with a few favorite photos that capture the subject(s) personality. I accept half of my fee up front. After a few days, I’ll show you some sketches and you can provide feedback. Once we’ve settled on a direction that you love, I’ll begin painting. It takes as long as it takes!

I draw with high quality Rembrandt soft pastels, which are designed to resist altering and fading when exposed to light. I draw on acid-free Canson Mi-Teintes cotton paper. Each portrait is sprayed with Krylon gallery-grade fixatif, which provides UV protection. Your portrait is shipped with a certificate of authenticity.
